And then this was the worst moment of my life.... Putting her up for sale
Gotta love the MKIV Golf and GTi badges. so much nicer than the standard MKIII ones. Here she's lowered 50 mm plus VR6 bbs's K&N 57i induction kit and Full stainless zorst including very illegal de-cat pipe, powerflow freeflow mufflers and porsche chrome tailpipe. Was dyno'd @ 140bhp (standard was 115) FEEL THE NOISE!

thanx guys!
The MKII was a bargain trade in at the VW/AUDI dealership i used to work for in the UK. Was a 1990 Big bumper 1.8 GL with pierburg carb. Like i said, 1 owner from new. Full VW service history (serviced every 6 months/6000 miles without fail) Immaculate interior and not a scratch or rust bubble outside either. Bought it for a measly 1000 bucks! needed a clutch though as the owner was an 80 year old arthritis sufferer but that only cost me 100 bucks and half a day on my back!
Got hold of an arch kit which i slapped on there a couple of weeks after the pics were taken. Looked sweet but that was all i wanted to do to it - wanted to keep it true to it's original owner!
The MKIII was another bargin too - 5000 bucks!!!!!! That was original when i got it but felt i could play with it a bit more.
Needless to say, i feel sick when i see the prices of the MKIIIs here and remember that i could have brought that little beast out with me and sold it a day later for 10000/12000 bucks (sigh)
Ahh well, hindsight is a powerful thing!

Don't beat yourself up I only brought the golf after I'd moved here and it wasn't selling in the UK. The mk3 is very nice until you put the ricey grille on
When you get the APR beast we're meeting up, k?
