I realise I am spending BIG money here, but this is what i want ot do (in time).

As far as engine work is concerned:
    276's
    Forged rods/pistons
    valves/valve springs
    ITB's
Exhaust/intake mani's (haven't researched much on these yet at all though)

Exhaust...al i know is i want side exit. Perhaps twin upswept tips or either black and not noticeable. I think this would look tough with the right drop over either

    - Merc wheels i already have (they are 5x112, im not sure if you can get 5x100 to 5x112 adapters? )

    - Forgive me, im not sure, haven't photoshopped...a set of mini superlites. Will get round to it eventually.

Yes, watercooled has got me thinking. Not good unfortuantely.

add 500 for postage + stamp duties and GST and your looking at $1400 for the four wheels...

You can get a great set of 16's/17's with decent tires for less than that, and I'm not a fan of them either sorry...

    ahh right then.
Just thinking out loud i guess.
If they don't float someone such as yourself (meaning an esteemed dub fan) boat, then i guess they are probably a bad idea!.

    Any better?

Chillax brah... Just for the price you can get some other real nice wheels locally if you look hard enough.

And as for those 13 inc superlites they won't clear your brakes, and will look silly on a mk3. Have a look for some that are in the 15's, and perhaps a set with lower offsets for the rear. A few folks ended up getting quotes and got around 800 for four in a 15x8 size I believe

    a chillax brah haha.

Ive just got ideas, and trying to get them all sorted so i cna find a package that is coherent and different without being stupid is difficult.

I wasn't actually thinking the 13's, but that style of rim. They were just the most accesible reference pic i had.

    Anyways, in time.

Check out ScienceVR6's thread in the Mk3 section - I remember finding a few locally available versions of those wheels. Konig, Lenso and Rota make replicas, and we have distributors down here. I remember seeing them advertised in mags like Hot4s and such and they don't go for more than $1300 with tyres for the 15" versions. Although the trouble is, most of them are configured in 4-stud pattern... I'm not sure if they come in 5x100...
