Why dont you drive it man? You cant tell me the caddy is more fun!
Just to show that I still have "Redgie", my GTI and havent forgotten it since getting the Caddy. The Golfs been lucky, in over 2 months since getting the Caddy, we have had 6 rain free days! Never 2 dry days in a row. Its been tucked away in the garage under my unit. Nice and dry.
The battery went absolutely dead flat once, it charge up fully and tested ok on the load tester. I had to reset everything after recharging it.
I have only driven it about 50 kms since the 21st july!

Drive it man!
All the cars that my friends have had and not used regularly seem to develop annoying gremlins!
has to be my fav mk5 GTI in Aus, so clean and simple with the right wheels and stance

Bah, keep it as a weekender. Let the Caddy do the hard yards.
Still looks good as ever. Remember, you use things.. They get damaged!

Took it out yesterday, only to the servo to put some fresh fuel in it. The weather has been soooo bad here that it hasnt been good driving conditions and with the record rainfalls this winter the roads have huge potholes everywhere that would swallow any car with 13 inch wheels. The caddy has more direct steering and seating position that you can generally see the holes and steer around them easily.
Thanks Josh, your comments make me feel pretty good mate. Hope your dilema sorts itself out for the best.
The caddy doesnt show any road grime in the orange, could probably get away wit cleaning the wheels only each week.
Preeny, mate, my pics dont show the graze in the lhf lower colourcoded section of the front bumper. Must fix soon. You are right though, driving cars can create damage but as Tim says, and I see it at work with some aircoolers, sitting around for long periods can cause more problems.
When the weather picks up I will be taking the Golf out to have another bonding drive! (not bondage either!!)
Cheers and thanks for the comments, Andrew

It's a double edged sword isn't it Andrew. Part of me would love to have a daily drive so that way the R can live in the garage and keep clean in dust storms or the odd random downpour that we get up here. Plus it keeps the kms off.
On the other hand though, then I don't get to drive the R as much.
To quote Ferris Bueller, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
Cheers,
