Do you rate ST coilovers? $1029 shipped, hurr. I'm a uni student, and my hours at work have just been cut back. Hate life.

Just over $1k, so add on $200 for customs.

Thanks VWfresh I didn't like it at first but it's really grown on me, you don't see many around either which is a plus! Love that GST, AusScare I import most of my camera gear from the US, so I swear the Customs people know me by name.

Alright, I've pretty much decided I may as well just grab some Ta Technix like yours, Dylan. If they last me 80,000km then I'll be very happy, and by that point hopefully I'll be in a much better situation financially where I can upgrade. I can bring in the Ta Technix for AU$340, which is ridiculously cheap. I realise that I get what I pay for

yeah man, heads up they are rough. but I had blown standard shocks so any upgrade was worth while

Thanks dude, yeah, the car's a bit of a boat at the moment and I've disliked that since the day I got it. Can't wait for some stiffness :p
Will I have to buy an aftermarket front sway bar if lowering >40mm? I read that somewhere.

Yep... get a FK or H&R, believe they are the only bars to handle a 45mm+ drop.
otherwise just remove the stock one if you feel like being dodgy and cheap like me

im pretty lowish and my sway hasn't rubbed yet, so you might be lucky, just make sure you have enough clearance to clear the coilovers im about ~3mm from rubbing.
