The dude at Ian Diffen said that the 215/35/18 is the right size for my car, I didn't know anything about wheels (what even is offset?!?!?) when I bought them so I just said yep okay.

Since attempting to lower my fronts more the other day and resetting them to what they were at before, my left side seems to be like 2-3cm higher than the right side. I'm so confused as to how that'd happen, it's high on the front and the rear, too! We didn't even touch the rears! D:

I know about offset now (ironically thanks to a post very similar to yours that I read a few months back)! I just didn't know about it when I bought this set of wheels. ^_^ Thanks though!

I fixed the slant problem. Note to self: next time, make sure I actually look at how the coilovers are set instead of letting my friend confirm it.
Bought a trolley jack too today so that'll make life a lot easier. Even tailored some old white pages books to use as ramps to fit the jack under it too!

$400 shipped for H&R bolt on 30mm spacers. Next pay and they're mineeeeeee!

they must have mucked up your original tyre specs when doing the calculation, or just assumed that was the size because it was a small car.
i have seen that size done on a mk4, but talking extremely low and bagged cars.
I know of someone that has some used 215/40/18s for sale soonish, if your interested flick me a PM

is that for a air or set of 4?

I think I'll wait for new wheels to fix that sizing. I guess my speedo is out, then? Would it be reading slower or faster than what I'm actually doing? I'll test it against the GPS today.

That's for a set of four from ECS. Cheapest place I can find them on the internet, would you believe.

if your speedo says 100km/h, you will only be doing like 90km/h in real life.
so basically you wont get any speeding fines
    get staggered 5mm
so say 30mm front and 35 rear.

I tested it tonight; my speedo reads anywhere from 6 to 4km/h slower than what my GPS said I was doing.

I'm thinking 25mm front / 30mm rears. Comes in at about $380 so that I'm pretty happy with. Thanks for the help buddy!

The pink wheels are different, but different is good.
Spacers should make it sit alot nicer.

I like the direction youve headed with the car

Spent an hour removing the rear lower spring perches tonight, so now it's just the springs and the upper perches between the body. That's given me an extra 2.75cm. Now the rear sits ~just~ lower than the front, which is purrrrrrfect.
