    rayray086's Audi 8L A3T

Procrastinating from studies, so here's a new thread for my current car. Yesterday was pretty much its first outing to an event, so I thought I'd start posting pics up on the forum. Will update as I go along.

Blank canvas (installed Dieselgeek short shifter and deleted rear wiper)

Wanted to get it ready for Dubstitute back in January, so bought some cheap coilovers and refurbed a set of Work Rezax (final specs of 17x9 ET23 on 205/45R17 front, 17x10 ET30 on 225/45R17 rear)

Replaced engine mounts with 034Motorsport uprated "Street density" mounts (stiffer rubber, but ride is still very comfortable and no in-cabin vibration, very happy with them). Also installed EuroImageTuning 1" engine mount spacers too:

Engine mount spacers also had provisions to allow the dogbone to sit correctly but I didn't put them in, gives me slightly better ground clearance:

And the party piece, the airride. Some pics from the build at various stages:

Two 3 gallon tanks, dual VIAIR 444C compressors

    For leak-free operation

Parker-Hannifin and Eaton fittings (air-brake compression and PTC)

    Accuair VU4 valve block

    Hertz HDP5 amp

    Custom gauge enclosure:

    Dakota Digital quad pressure readout

My attempt at straightening soft coiled copper vs hard-drawn straight copper.

Propane torch for annealing, but I also bought the right tools for bending copper.

Everything still needs a good paint/polish/fabric wrap, but will be done soon.

    Pressure senders for gauge

I still need to take pics of the notch! Thanks for that job BTW, with the 1" engine mount spacers, the driver's side axle is all the way up in there right now.

This is all kinds of cool. Those hardlines are sweet, might need to ask you a few things about them sometime, would love to do them but have no idea how they work! haha. Install is all kinds of clean.

Anytime Ben! Still needs a lot of cleaning up to do, should be pretty and neat once I'm done with it.
