My old Mk3 Golf 3dr Tdi and other past cars

This is my old 1995 Mk3 Tdi 3dr back in ireland
    Loved it to bits.

Bought it stock standard as a very very rare 3dr match.

5 stud conversion and 17" BBS , Vr6 brakes all round, -60mm apex springs.
full 16v Gti Interior. Running 22psi Boost , Tuning box, Octavia 110bhp injectors, mk4 style headlights, Vr6 body option parts colour coded.
    debadged grille. M3 tailights

Very quick car, used pull a genuine 120mph. 185-190kmh) i surprised a lot of fast petrols and handled and stopped unreal, huge cloud of soot swirling out the back! running the red dyed "farm diesel" while doin my apprentcship. happy memories!

Also a mk2 that i built from bare shell with sunroof,
put in an Audi 80 sport 2.0 16v, ported polished, high compression, lightened flywheel , coilovers -80mm drop , big brakes all round, the first 18" wheels in my town back in the day!
no door handles full flushed , bad boy bonnet, white leather 16v interior, chrome roll cage, had a little dvd player in it too.
T3 transporter vent in the front wing, crystal headlights.G60 archs, vr6 splitter. single wiper, proper bad boy bonnet welded on , 3 slat grill ,
Took so long to complete, manys a night spent freezing in a friend shed on winter nights putting it back togeathar.
looks pretty gaudy now but was something different yrs ago i suppose!

My 6 series in QLD 2 yrs ago, getrag 5 speed manual and BBS. Slammed, clear lenses all around. refreshingly different

my Estorial Bleu E36 M3 3.2 Evo in Qld last year, factory standard amazingly. SMG unreliable and boring. now sold

My Mint E30 325i sport back in Ireland late 1990s,17" Alpinas.slammed .what more do they need?

Returned to my Diesel roots! 1997 Peugeot 405 D turbo in Brisbane last year,
Slammed, Debadged despoilered, Mi 16 interior and archs, Upped Boost and fuel. Great car for journeys to sydney 1200km per tank. massive torque on boost.
I know - horrible wheels, try getting 4 x 108 in something nice!, they were off a ford fiesta with big spacers fitted and even then just acceptable

My old Kombi bus with subaru EJ20 2.0 Turbo, head turner.I didnt build this one it came from sth australia. gone to a new home now.

My 6 series coupe along with M535i drift pig. Welded Diff not much else! Happy days
Used it for the Getrag Box when she eventually died!

Mk 2 escort i was building, sadly sold as unfinished project, 2 door round headlight. Genuine RS mexico decal kit
Central locking and remote control start up fitted.
    Vauxhall/Gm C20 xe 2.0 16v with T5 box and Toyota supercharger.
280 mm front discs with volvo 4 pot calipers, Ta 18 corrola rear axle with discs and LSD
    15" lotus rims
King superlow springs . recaro seats , Rs2000 black interior.
Never saw this car run sadly.

    2dr mk 3

    Thanks mate

Yes that 2dr mk3 was one rare find, I have to say looking back over all the cars iv owned this stands out as being an all time favourite.

I was lookin thru the Auto trader one rainy afternoon and there she was at some shody backstreet dealers just outside belfast,on the phone collect the lads out of the pub empty the ATM and about 7 hours later i was back down south with it.

One family owner , full vag service history and 1300 uk pound! steal

First thing i did was tune it and lower it.
On the oem 13" wheels it had that much grunt the spare wheel well would wack the ground under boost in first 3 gears, the BBS jacked it up just enough and never had any problems after.

another of the 6 i couldnt fit above

nice... sounds like you're list of mods is not so dissimilar to what i've done to my diesel mk3 too - gotta love vr6 spec brakes without the engine up the front to weigh it down too much

Mate, hats off to you and your collection of cars. I'd love to have a repertoire of previous cars similar to yours one day (and not only in quantity!)
