    2dr mk 3

    Thanks mate

Yes that 2dr mk3 was one rare find, I have to say looking back over all the cars iv owned this stands out as being an all time favourite.

I was lookin thru the Auto trader one rainy afternoon and there she was at some shody backstreet dealers just outside belfast,on the phone collect the lads out of the pub empty the ATM and about 7 hours later i was back down south with it.

One family owner , full vag service history and 1300 uk pound! steal

First thing i did was tune it and lower it.
On the oem 13" wheels it had that much grunt the spare wheel well would wack the ground under boost in first 3 gears, the BBS jacked it up just enough and never had any problems after.

another of the 6 i couldnt fit above

nice... sounds like you're list of mods is not so dissimilar to what i've done to my diesel mk3 too - gotta love vr6 spec brakes without the engine up the front to weigh it down too much

Mate, hats off to you and your collection of cars. I'd love to have a repertoire of previous cars similar to yours one day (and not only in quantity!)

    vw dubs

Thanks for all the nice comments lads,

Iv had quite a lot more rare sorts of cars but sadly i havent pictures of everything anymore. Mostly German Biased, but for sexual simplicity its hard to look past a vw of any type, the more you take off the better they look.

I love seeing a modifed Vw in Australia as its a dare to be different thing and also one has to appreciate the extra effort needed to source "nice bits" out here.

I havent built or really modifed anything in the last 3 years ( the mk2 escort was my last attempt) and i got sucked into the materialistic ways of the mining game.

GLDgti how does your mk3 run- is it very quick? A bleed valve on the turbo actuator line was another thing i had fitted and on cold nite was running 22psi, something in the ecu would cause it pulse slightly so i presume it has a built in boost overload cutting fuel somewere- had thought of fitting a 3 bar map sensor but didnt have the knowhow or coin to get a custom written program etc to eliminate this, so i reckon there was more left in her..

im off to live in France next so hope to get back into the scene, A trip to that crazy worthersee cup will have me drooling again !
if you havent seen pics from this show google it , simply insane stuff.

I think bigger turbos and stand alone managment such as motech for diesels will be the next big thing..
