You guys are all a bit harsh.
Id say before judging the kit wait until its finished. Ive seen a couple cars with similar things that if done properly do look orright.

I've seen this car inside and out (before the bodykit was put on) and i like it. I think he put a lot of effort in it and if he likes it let him be.
The only thing that i dont like is the GTi writing on the rocker cover. It is NOT a GTi!!

This was my 1000th post! Im a fanatic now! YAY!

Who was the person that told me this isn't another Vortex' ?

Also consider that 99% of what he's done he's done himself and I doubt anyone else here has gone to the same kind of effort, like the PS2 for instance.

I say wait till its ALL finished, the be then judge, the car is promising.

I would say you should have bought a Honda but i changed my mind.

Its guna be harsh but i dont think IMHO people with your mentality on moding cars should have cars. Its just criminal.

Its good to be different and try new things (if anyone is going to argue that) but plastic fantastic and bright colors has been done before and it doesnt work. You don't have to conform to what the majority thinks is good looking but then whats the point.

PS. I know where this is guna go. Your all going to go the car scene's version of P.C. Ill stick to my guns and say it how it is. Dont F'around, say it as it is.

The front kit is ment to resemble a mk5 gti i just put it on 2 days ago. the interior i used vinyl and plastic paint with a clear coat over the top. yea i prty much did it all myself from the stereo and ps2 to the interior trimming, putting the bodykit on (with a professional ofcourse). if these guys in germany hurry up and send the mesh i will get it painted and hopefully prove that it looks alrite

you don't need to prove anything to anyone expcept yourself. stand back when its done and be proud you have achieved something unique. as has been said before, if everyone was slammed on RS's, CH's or LM's dubs (can't believe im saying this) would get quite boring.

check out somewhere like wheel-whores for innovation as far as wheel options go. you cna see some work and some don't. price oyu pa for uniqueness. and its all opinionated.

    a top notch effort nonetheless.

    plans to show it?

You've got an awesome Audio Visual set up, probably one of the best on the forums. The kit should turn out alright too. I'm not a fan of the interior or the neon's. In my opinion, they take away from the effort that's gone into the rest of the car. IMO, if its a visual mod you can buy from Supercheap, it shouldn't go on your car. I'd love to see the A/V setup in action tho.

Looks different mate, I am impressed by how much of that work you did yourself.

And what is with the whole "you should have bought a Honda " thing? There are heaps of nice hondas too that would eat a lot of VWs for breakfast, they're not all rice!
