    Haha.

When the tyres are fitted, I'll post full car pics.

Oh and the cars in the background are Dad's MKIV and Mum's Yaris

157 kW at the wheels - what's been done to it? Are the rear lights different?

Great looking Golf! I can't wait to see these new wheels fitted.

Oh ... I bet the cops love you. The combination of black bonnet, rims & plates would just attract them like flies. Once had a car that had the same effect on those of the thin blue line persuasion ... had to sell it after 6 months cos I couldn't drive it anywhere unescorted.

Rear lights are standard. Could just be the lighting of the photo that makes it look different.

The car made 147kw last year in WINTER, then I fixed a couple of leaks , installed the powergasket, cooler and clutch and voila - extra 10kw in SUMMER. Sweet!

I'll dyno it again in winter, put some ice in the water sprayer and see if I can crack 170kw with the same turbo

3 inch downpipe, cat and exhaust
    Oettinger chip
    K04 turbo
Muller and Muller turbo intake pipe
    SARD FPR
    ABD Racing silicone TB hose
UG SMIC with water spray that does nothing but drain my windscreen washer bottle
    New South Performance powergasket
    Turbo XS DV
Boostvalve MBC running off a switch, standard N75 valve all other times
B&M short shift kit + TT shifter
    ECS Tuning Stage 1 clutch

Cops don't look at me twice here. Canberra has too many cars on 20" chrome wheels to defect.

Oh and because I know people are curious...

    Stock - 15.5sec 1/4mile
    120kw with MBC, 4bar FPR and 3" exhaust - 6.2 secs/14.3
    135kw with K04, stock cooler and kinked FPR hose - 5.5 secs/13.8
    147kw with unkinked hose YAYYY
    157kw with cooler, clutch, powergasket - 5.4secs/13.6

Those are excellent times, Mate ... and I'm pleased for you that you don't have to look over your shoulder every time you leave your driveway.

    Cheers,

You've ran some very good times - 120kw and 14.3 is awesome! Good on ya! They're quick little suckers. I will have to get mine down the strip some day.

Trap speed was 172km/h - compared to when I drove the 13.8 @ 169.9km/h, which was with 20kw less...

Love the car, but I'd love an R32.
