Round 3 of mods
- Eibach 20mm lowering springs (car actually rides better on these springs as they are a variable rate design)
- Sachs strut tops and strut bearings replaced when doing the lowering springs
- Mountune poly rear spring perch's (factory ones are made of some weird rubbery/foam combo and break down)
- MODE Auto Concepts 12.5mm spacers + wheel nuts
- Restyled numberplates with black background/silver letters combo

Round 4 of mods
Time for a bit of sound. Unfortunately the Fiesta ST is near silent in stock form, with a large centre muffler and then a large rear muffler. I like to have an aftermarket exhaust, but am very fussy and always want it to be relatively quiet and not obnoxious.
- Mountune 2.5” stainless steel mandrel bent exhaust to keep my inner 18yr old boy racer self happy
- Added AFE Power resonator to exhaust to just tone it down a bit
- Invidia 10mm rubber exhaust hangers
- Spectr LED reverse lights
- Spectr LED brake lights
The Mountune exhaust both looks great, and is very nicely made. Once it wore in, I found it was just a little bit droney at about 2000rpm, so I bought a resonator from AFE and fitted that which has reduced the drone without taking anything away from the sound.
The Invidia exhaust mounts are excellent quality too and have multiple mounting locations to suit heaps of applications.

Thanks mate - it is a fun little car to zip around in for sure. There is a lot to be said for a simple hot hatch that you can work on yourself, light weight, 6 speed manual with a decent power to weight ratio. Honestly the most fun ive had in a car in a number of years. You can rip on it and not be doing light speed where you lose your licence and go to jail.
Round 5 of mods – stereo upgrade
I had purchased some of these stereo components a few years ago for my Mk7 GTI, but never got around to fitting them. Thought that I may as well fit them to the Fiesta because the stereo wasn’t very good, and I do like a decent stereo.
- Focal Access Series 165AS 6.5” splits for the front doors
- Focal Access Series 165AC 6.5” co-axials for the rear
- Plenty of sound deadener inside the door cavities to dampen rattles and road noise.
- Focal plug and play Impulse 4.320 amplifier (4x50w RMS) for the speakers
- Focal IBUS20 compact under seat 8” subwoofer with amplifier
- Focal wiring kit for factory Ford “Sony” head unit and amp/sub. All plug and play.

Nice job Lucas.
Would those H7 LEDs work in a reflector housing (Mk7 Alltrack base model) or are they aimed purely at projector housings?
Have upgraded the Alltrack to RacingVision GT200 H7 which are a good improvement over stock but I'm thinking they won't last long.
Hey Brad. Yes they should fit no problems as they are the exact same dimensions as the original halogen bulbs. But...putting HID or LED bulbs into a reflector housing often ends up causing a horrible blinding effect to oncoming vehicles at night. You see this often with young kids who have put LED's into their old utes or 4wd's and their headlights literally burn a hole in your brain because they are so intensly bright.
I believe the issue with reflector housings is that there is no control over the beam pattern which is why it tends to blind oncoming traffic. Perhaps newer/better quality bulbs are different these days though?? You might need to save your dollarydoos and put them towards some of these or similar VW Golf MK7.5 Sequential Headlights - Pair
– ALTIQ™
Round 6 of mods
- Mountune matte carbon fibre intake
- Mountune matte carbon front lip
- Turbosmart Dual Port blow off valve. So now I get the pigeon sound on light throttle/low revs and the louder pssshhhtt on higher RPM/heavier load. And on full throttle you get a combination of both sounds.
- Sound symposer delete to remove the fake engine sound being transferred into the cabin.
