Couple of little things done recently so thought id update all together:
- Benzinfabric LED puddle lights. These look great and apart from being usefull in the dark, they add another element of Euro style to the car. Big thankyou to Marco who stayed back after a days work to install these with me.
- HPA dogbone mount. Using this to replace my previous setup which was the stock rubber mount with BFI insert.
- NeuSpeed P-Flo intake for K04 (trialing this intake as a possible replacement/change from my previous VWR intake. I'll will end up selling one of them....just havent decided which one yet. Have had to temporarily remove my 42DD catch can (which was full of gunk again even though i emptied it just after Christmas) because the air filter on the P-Flo sits right where the catch can goes.
- LED front and rear blinkers
- Colour coded rear VW emblem insert
- Red coil harness cover to go with the red coil packs
- Car is due for its 2yr service this month so bought 5L of Liqui Moly to give to the mechanic to use. This will be the cars 5th oil change in 2yrs/15,000km...haha.
Thats about it for now. Pics:
Then gave the car a real thorough clean on Saturday evening and a bit of a wax here and there. Grabbed a few pics on Sunday morning after a walk along the waterside:
And hooked up my parker lights in the headlight housings:

Looking good Lucas, not sure about the new intake, no air box and not covered so not sure what the laws are in NSW but in QLD it's illegal. Have to let use know if you notice much difference from the VWR.

Yes the intake is "illegal" as such at the moment because its not enclosed but i plan on doing something like this which will bring things back in check. I am still considering some options at the moment with intakes as im trying to find MY perfect one. The NeuSpeed was/is an experiment to see if i like it. There is also an extension for the NeuSpeed intake that puts the air filter down in front of the passenger wheel area. I do not like the Volant, so despite it being a good performer etc, its not for me im sorry. Same with the Evoms and BCS intake - not for me. I do like the new AMD tuning intake and may try that next.
Have noticed absolutely no loss of power etc from the exposed air filter in the engine bay with the NeuSpeed. The NeuSpeed is quieter than my VWR (i think the alloy cannister on the VWR actually echos and amplifies the sound). Fitment is lovely and the quality of everything is top notch. Will be checking fuel trims in another week or so (letting them adjust over time) although my trims with the VWR were never really an issue, except for recently when they were bad but turns out i had a leak. The NeuSpeed pipe diameter ID is about 2-3mm smaller than the VWR.
If you haven't realised by now - i like being a bit different....manual Golf R in a less popular colour. tune company and hardware that's less mainstream etc. I don't like to have what everyone else has. I like to be a bit more of an individual

Lucas what did you have to do to get your front indicator LED's in?

Well... this was a decent read Lucas. Thanks for the link... look forward to meeting up sometime in the future for a closer look at this beast.
