Looks good mate, any more lag?
So I got the cts fmic on Thursday. Had the go about modifying the charge piping a little but nothing too serious, had the boys at 999 automotive weld it up for me and I'm really happy how it turned out.
2" piping next to the 2.5"
It's a lot harder trying to fit 2.5" piping in there!
... Almost there....
Some awsome branding that no one will ever see
Back together and going for a test drive
Was dark by the time I got the bumper on
I moved the core about an inch down from where it's supposed to mount so it'd fill the bumper and get more are flow so some of the pipes were a bit tough to fit, especially on the cold side but I'm pretty happy with it. butt dyno says it works, even in 35 degree heat it didn't have a hint of heat soak (neither did the PWR core to be fair), seems to have free'd a few extra ponies with the larger piping though.
Looks good mate, any more lag?
winning!!

So i decided to keep it and turn it into something a little special. I ripped out the old me3.8 ecu and wiring loom and replaced it with a me7.5 wideband ecu and harness from an audi TT. The swap was pretty straight forward, all plugs are colour coded and matched up. The only tricky part was that i had an auto loom so i had to wire in my old speed sensor. If anyone wants to do this swap i am more than happy to share my knowledge, if i can pull it off, there's no excuse for you!
Also painted the cooler blaaaack
What are the rough costs involved. Harness, coil packs, throttle body, DBW accelerator pedal.. What else?

I think you'd have to be keen to have a wideband set up to justify the change. Also probably worth fitting the VVT tensioner at the same time.
The cost could vary a bit depending on how you go about it. One donor vehicle would be the ideal solution. Golf/A3/TT being best in my opinion. Though you could do Polo parts but the fitment wouldn't be so hot as the ECU is bulkhead mounted.
