that sux mate. i thought the 2.0's sump sat above the sub-frame? you must be pretty lowe! maybe time for a 1.8t conversion
Went for a cruise up to a mate's house last night and ended up bottoming out and cracking the sump, spewing oil all over the road and almost cooking my engine. Luckily the engine still turns over; got it towed this morning but will have to wait till Monday for the mechanic to give me the details. Hoping it's not going to hit the wallet too hard..

Haha I wish! Still on the green P-plates, but will definitely be upgrading this time next year! Cost me just above $400 to get the sump ordered from VW and replaced; turns out the one that came with my car had been superseded by a newer version, so the one I have now is new and shiny! After this incident, I raised it 20mm on the front for my daily driving and haven't had any problems since, so that's good news at least. There's always a silver lining - learnt some more about my car and had an opportunity to get my hands dirty (and pockets lightened..).
Here she is after an excursion around the coast and back from the doctors; also took some time a couple of weeks prior to apply some 'Piano Black' vinyl to the B-Pillars. Came out well I think, even though the car is filthy in this picture.
Was good to catch up with a few of you at the Brisbane meet last Sunday! Unfortunately I had a little bit of panel damage at the meet (someone backed into me) but that was all fixed up on Monday through their insurer, weoww! Latest piccies (including the lovely dent in first photo - photo is courtesy of Alerenda).
