Maybe? I have the R with DP, FMIC, HPFP and S2+ ECU, and of course a DSG, and my car never makes that sound. Unless Pierre has changed the wastegate, it'd be the same in our two cars. I still have the stock "engine cover" air intake and don't have the GIAC Extreme tune, nor the "traditional manual", and very likely other differences, but still the sound is curious to me.

as tim said ..

its the vf 3" intake which causes it to flutter. i can make it flutter however it has a mind of its own and tends to do it if your on and off and even at slow speeds with minimal/if any boost really.

I dont mind it, at times i hate it as i dont need to announce i am changing gears lol.

I get the same sort of sound with the EVOMS on mine except it isn't on upchanges. Only happens when you back off and then it has to be the right revs/load etc.

NP. I'm considering getting the VF as well.
