Looking good!
I thought I might aswell start a picture/OEM+ build thread.
Picked it up last Friday 4th Nov 2011, spent most of the friday night cleaning the leather interior with some autoglym shampoo and there interior protector.
Saturday was off to the tyre shop and VW for some floor mats, then it was a matter of an hour or so spent restoring the headlights to there former glory.
The exterior was relatively clean (hard to believe with the state of the inside) and so was the engine bay. I gave her a good bath and cleaned some hard to reach places under the hood.
Next on the list is a decent service and general check over. I only really took a couple of pics for now, but when a few things start to happen over the next few weeks I'll take more and more.
Plans-
Coilovers, wheels, Thule roof racks and fairing. Keeping it clean, low and simple.
Lights freshly restored.
Interior cleaned.

what process did you use to restore headlights? Off the shelf kit?
'03 Bora V6 4motion ~ CC Flash ~ Neuspeed F&R ARB ~ .:R optioned - Bilsteins,Springs,shifter,steering ~ Tyrol Brake kit ~ EVOMS CAI
I used the headlight restoration kit by Invision, it's worked really well on a previous car too and lasted 10months until I eventually sold it.

The Bora V5 is a stunning car.
Dont rush to change the alloys, your design was one of the nicest that VW ever produced, and it suits the car to a tee...
i agree with anthony, these wheels are the better design and i have upgraded to a set of them (even if they are spares/emergency wheels)
interesting you had good results with that kit... I used it and found it a bit hopeless... the final 'seal' is now pealing off and another chemical in the kit left a mark that looks like a drip down the lense that needs sanding out.
interior looks great after the clean up, all second hand boras with that colour always look dirty and worn. nice work!
The wheels will stay until I sort out more lows, but I'd love some nice splits hmmmm. Thanks for the comments I originally spent ages looking for a MK3 until I gave up and brought the Bora, not one single regret either.
Just ordered some genuine service parts oil/air/fuel/cabin filters and sump plug for $60 shipped.
