If I'm aired out and then lift it the compressors do kick in. Is a little annoying because they're so loud.
I haven't timed it but if you go on the viair website they have specs for fill times for each model.
Got the kit off ECS as it ended up cheaper than bagriders although not as much choice in gear. If you read above though there was a lot of hassle.
Haven't really looked into engineering, I can only imagine it being a massive headache. I think if I'm not stupid about it though there shouldn't be any problems.

I think that's all your questions answered
Thanks a lot Anthony, I was looking at Fifteen 52 for the kit and they seemed alright. I may have to fab up some extreme noise proofing though but I'll see once I get it.

I also saw Bag Riders has a deal on this month for $350 off any Autopilot V2 kit so that may be the way to go. I'll probably look to get a kit once I sell my other Golf so I'll see how that goes if it sells quick or not.

unengineered air ride will get you in much more trouble then just being too low on 'springs'. Thats the case in VIC anyway

Haha that's too true guys. It's not fool proof but I guess any modification isn't anyway! I've changed enough struts to do it quick enough too like Anthony. Not sure what the go is in NSW Dylan with defects but I reckon it would be similar, I'm lucky enough never to have got one touch wood

I didn't even know fifteen 52 had kits. I was going to go bag riders with a sale on autopilot but it was still cheaper through ecs. However ecs did bump up the price after a I bought it (was advertised as v1 not v2) so you'd have to investigate yourself. Is an expensive adventure though!

ECS still doesn't specify whether or not they're V1 or V2 (unless I missed something). I can get dual compressors and 3/8" lines for about $2900 before PO on Bag Riders which doesn't seem too bad, although postage could kill me. How much was postage for you?

Bag riders postage quote for me was $800 without a tank

    Ecs $400ish including tank.

You'll also be hit with a ~$500 import tax due to importing thousands worth of kit.

How does the tax work, do they not release it from customs until you pay it or something? You're right about expensive adventures haha

That's right, they charge a handling fee and then percentage based on item value and shipping and won't release it until it's all paid

Cool, so more like high 3's then. Not too bad I guess, you'll get at least half if not more back when you sell the kit so it's more like an investment I reckon.
