Andypant's Golf GTi Pirelli Build UPDATED Jan 2014

Hey all, I figured now was as good a time as any to start a build / picture thread of my Pirelli.

The Car: I purchased the car middle of last month - a very low k's (21,000) Black Magic Golf GTi Pirelli. I was very lucky that the car was well looked after and came with some very cool GTIP169 Euro plates

First Mods: I've added an RNS-510 version H, Bluetooth and MDI from Audi Upgrades. I've also fitted some Eibach Prokit Sportlines to drop her a little bit. Very happy with how the car is sitting and how it rides. I also reckon the RNS510 sounds better than my RCD500 6stacker. The installs have all been done by Wojtek and the guys at German Auto Service.

    Current Mod List
Osram Intense H7 & Ultra White LED Parkers
    APR Carbonio CAI
    Eurosport Tuning Exhaust
DNA Stage 2 Tune (installed Jan 14)
    R8 Coilpacks
    Eibach Sportlines

    Wish list
    Whiteline Anti Lift Kit
    Whiteline Rear Sway Bar
Eurosport Intake to replace the Carbonio.
    GFB Diverter Upgrade

There are definatley additional extras planned for the future but you'll just have to wait and see

Here's a few photos including before and after the lowering.

    Before Sportlines

    After install of Eibach Sportlines

Great pictures to start off with. Looks far better once it was lowered.

Have you gotten the car Tuned yet? The APR Carbonio will only give you a slight sound increase, no Performance as it's just a carbon box that sits on the end of the engine cover. I also agree that the RCD/RNS upgrade sounds better. Seems to be a lot more bassy than the stock RCD500 headunit.

Got any plans for future modifications?

Hey mate cheers. Yeah I was happy with how they turned out.

The cars not tuned.... yet I bought it completely stock. That said a stage 1 tune is on the cards in the near term and quite likely a Dump pipe down the track with associated remap too. In terms of future plans, in short yes there's a number of things I'm keen to do progressively. I want the car to remain pretty sedate, easy/fun to drive and look tastefully done, that vision will translate into the mod's I do.

As for the intake after all the reading and lurking around forums I wasn't really planning on modding the intake at all. It seemed the price of any intake didn't warrant the added bling or performance. So when this came up at the price it was selling for I just went for it purely from an opportunistic perspective for the style points more than anything else.

Wow only 21,000km's. Thats seriously low kilometers. I thought i didnt drive mine much (15,000km in 2yrs).

Rare limited edition car, very low km's, robust strengthened engine and larger turbo from the factory....what more could you want. Oh yeah - a tune

I considered getting a Pirelli and there was one for sale in Newcastle about 2.5yrs ago with only 30 odd thousand kms for $32,000, but i didnt realise at the time that they were DSG only. Considering that i specifically wanted a manual, that ruled them out for me unfortunately. Really nice car man, i know you will enjoy it.

Tell me about it. Hasn't stayed at 21,000 for long though. Put on 1000 K's since I bought it lol

Thanks mate, for sure we'll have to catch up for a cruise. I did get together with Geoff, Matt and Kirbo last friday for a bit but we didn't do a whole lot of driving. Mostly stood around and joked about the people who consistently mounted the kerb heading into North Perth Maccas Drive through. Pretty keen to check out that Audi of yours too actually
