i just think that neons shouldn't be on a golf full stop! haha
what are the future plans???
This is pretty much what she looked like at the dealership . Minus the black leather seat covers .. (i've got the new rims on there, thats for the next photo)
I have many ideas, some are more realistic than others .. The key is that they are all meaningful additions / modifications .. Over the years I've developed a different opinion when it comes to modding a car .. DONT MAKE IT COP BAIT.
Now thats not to say all modded cars should be sleepers .. But I am saying stuff like neons should be used with very careful moderation .. Nuff Said.
Heres me ride ..
Apologies for the terrible image quality .. Its a phone jobbie

Well im not sure how exactly to tackle this one but id reallllllly like to paint those unsightly bits of trim that are just that matte black plastic look .. the bumper / door stripes are painted but the little lip thing on the hatch and down the front too ..
Euro Plates ! (Even got the sweet VW plate holders from Germany)
Lowering .. but that seems to be a pretty big job so its getting further and further downt the list ..
Definitely want some better globes .. i like the masked out headlight thing .. but they just arent anywhere near bright enough ..
New bonnet .. my one has a gnarly mark on it where it looks like some paint thinner type stuff has dripped on it and ran downwards ..
Open to suggestions ..

nice car, looks like something good to start with. im not really a fan of those headlight covers, they look tacky to me. but im not the one driving it! i reckon with some droppage + nice euro wheels (check out the mk3 appreciation thread) and ull be all set
textured trim is the bomb, i would only paint them matte black to restore the shine it would have had when it was originally sold. ive got full textured bumpers and i love em
Mmm ,
The headlights have been a topic of much debate amongs my friends .. to keep or not to keep ..
With a view to improve the brightness of said headlights i'd say they'll end up getting replaced ..
As for wheels . . I went for black .. Getting a pic up later today hopefully so im keen to show them off
Major droppage required ..

nice, man.
the car will look good when lowered.
re the headlights- i reckon lose the plastic stuff. the mkiii headlights looked good in stock form, i reckon.
Well it seems you want to go black on black so i'd suggest you either joey mod your headlights or purchase some new smoked ones, it'd look 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000 times better than those covers! U may also want to check out some smoked indicators front and side? and as mentioned some droppage needed to give it some phattness and perhaps even the euro vr6 front lip? lol, just suggestions
Pic of rayray086's (Ray) car with the joey modded smoked headlights...
and a pic of thestu's (Stu) ride with the front euro lip, note its deeper...
Aww, no free plug from Alex haha...
If you can't be bothered painting your trim bits black mate, I'd suggest picking up some liquid kiwi shoe polish. everyone knows me on this forum because of shoe polish... it's the best, $4 a bottle and it'll last you like 6 months at least, even more for your car cos there's less textured bits.
my signature shows my car, those black bits are textured and were as grey as yours once...
