I feel that rims, like a colour, comes down to personal preference. As long as you like it, who cares what others think

haha its good to get some conflicting opinions on the wheels! Rims are always going to be a love/hate debate (which I dont mind). The rims are the same as the ones Reiger Scirocco. As I didnt want to have to clean white rims every time I drove it I opted for a matte black with chrome finish.

At the end of the day, if we all liked the same type of rim we'd all have matte black mesh rims on our cars which would be boring!

The main reason for the post is because I got the car lowered yesterday. Thanks to Tim from DubAddiction for doing the work

I tried to get identical shots to see the difference in lowering with the H&R Lowering springs

    After:

    And a measurement comparison.

The car should drop a few more mm over the next couple hundred km's. In regards to ride quality, it definitely is more firm but not 'sports' mode firm where it jars your brain when going over bumps. Ive been running it in sports mode and ive found there is minimal movement when cornering and going through dips in the road. All in all im happy with it! I think will hold off on the KW DDC's for now as going any lower is not practical for a daily driver and it wont get into our driveway otherwise!

    Looking good

You should find over the next month the front especially could settle up to around 10mm.
Even a subtle lowering job like that just seems to balance out the tyre profile vs the wheel gap issue the scirocco has going on in stock form.

    good call.

interesting what you say about the sports mode being to firm. I cant drive my dads passat cc without the sports mode on as it feels too boaty for my liking. do you drive on comfort/normal?

should drop a bit more as Tim said. has defiantly cleaned up the wheel gap!

Comfort on the highway and generally normal/sports for daily driving.

The DCC levels on the CC are nothing like the same as on the 'Roc. A CC in comfort is boaty! Even in Sport it's pretty soft.

Gave the car a bit of a detail today. The springs have settled quite nicely to.
