    Yeti tdi fuel tank leak?

Hi I'm a newbie, bought a 2011 tdi yeti with 90k on it tm2 months ago. Apart from needing timing belt change the car is going great. However thus morning I noticed some diesel on the carport floor under drivers side of fuel tank. Any advice about common issues.

Had you recently topped it 'right up' and started a small leak down the overfill pipe which spills near your feet?.
How big is the leak?.....a small quantity makes a big impression given time.
Check tighten the hose clamp perhaps.

No common issues I would say.

If you had just recently filled it up, on a really cold night, and then this cloudy weather came over and it expanded, a little could have drained from the expansion overflow perhaps.

Otherwise you'd be best served having a good look around to see if you can spot any areas that look suspect.

Thanks its good to know its not a common issue. I'll put it on stands and have a closer look around (once the east coast low passes).
