    VW T5 2.5TDi

    Hi guys,
am following another avenue to an earlier post. Just wondering with my TDi transporter, late 2007 2.5TDi, BPC engine. Anyone know if it's fitted with variable vane turbo, an anti shudder valve and / or a N75 valve, as I have picked up a few snippets from a UK forum site, trying to solve a missfiring issue and turbo boost drops off issue under hard acceleration

turbo adjustment vanes get clogged up with carbon/ soot..causing over boost shut down issues.. camshaft can wear out causing a feeling like misfiring....

Yes Im 95% sure variable vanes and defo a N75 (N75 some times goes noisy and humms when turning off the engine for about 5 seconds) but not sure what they mean by a "anti shudder" valve?....

I had one not too long ago same spec and age as your's that they fitted a tow bar to and ever since then they had turbo issues. when they towed up hill it would log a over boost issue and shut down... after many attempts eventually found that the airmass meter was just under by 2% of it max reading so didn't log a fault. changed the airmass meter and the customer said it now drives like it did when it was new... Does yours have a DPF filter in the exhaust?? Another I saw had same issues and logged no faults but over boost and when tested said ok, found that to be the DPF had broken up inside, no fault codes for it. The pipe was removed and found it all broken up inside......

    This sounds promising,
I do not have DPF any more, and it's been tuned, but it was doing this before the tune, but it's made the problem more noticeable. the air mass meter is that just after the airbox/ air filter?? I like fiddling and think I may have killed it when I cleaned with MAF sensor cleaner a while ago. Thinking about it, it was fine before that, I think. I might try replacing that first, then go with the N75 valve. Hope the air mass meter not too expensive!! Oh the anti shudder valve in question was specific to T4 I think, it was on the VW T4/T5 UK forum..
