VW Golf Mk1/2 GTi/Driver, Camshaft Splashguard

Does anyone know if one of these fits both the petrol and diesel Mk 1 Golf engine? Reading around the forums it is recommended as a good addition to reduce blow-back and keep the air filter clean.

    Thanks

    Definitely!

Yeah... But look at earlier posts on breathing modifications first.

    Hi,

Highly recommended - I've put one in my MK1 1.5 diesel. Amazing how much oil was getting sucked into the air filter! Fits straight in for both the petrol & diesel.

Its a great idea, controlls the oil better, less tappet noise and less oil in airfilter.

Only drawback is if your engine overheats, it melts and becomes liquid plastic which then sets inside your cylinder head. Not pretty!

Dont let that happen and you`ll be right
