    I'm pretty sure GT's had continentals not Bridgestones, well mine did anyway.

    +1 for Conti's but in later times the RE050 seems to be quite common.

    I also run my tyres slightly over the recommended pressure by about by 2-3 psi.

    Mine's not a GT but a 103TDI with sports pack which came with Potenza RE050 17" 225x45 rubber and sports suspension.

    Sounds like an easy fix anyhow and luckily isn't a mechanical issue.

    ahh yah sports pack

    my old work neighbour got a really early tdi with the sports pack, but it had hankooks... being an early car they probably put whatever on it.
