You should be ok.
Just have the tank drained and the filter replaced. The PD motors are a bit more tolerant than the CR ones with this sort of thing.
Had the car for nearly 7 years never put wrong fuel in. Filled up with what I thought was diesel at Shell on Hoddle St past Swan St. Could smell the diesel on my hand after filling up, Car begain running with rough idle about 1km up the road. Made it into work car park about 1km further and car stalled. Tried re-starting with no luck. Then realised it might be fuel related at looked at my receipt and it said unleaded. RACV have towed it to Bayford VW in Doncaster.
Petrol station guy said it is impossible that the wrong fuel could have gone into the tank and receipt shows I filled up with unleaded so guess I am screwed. I remember once before I thought I had filled up with wrong fuel at a BP receipt showed unleaded that time as well. Having worked at BP have seen it happen before with unleaded going into diesel tank or vice versa.
I guess I have no way to prove that the wrong fuel was in the tank or I stuffed up.
Probably up for big dollars no doubt to fix. It is the PD 103kw.

just to be sure about what you did, can you not go back and physically look at the pump and see how its labelled?

On damage to you fuel system, it depends. Diesel acts as a lubricant for the high pressure furl pump, and so, while everything may appear OK, damage could well have been done. A friend of mine had a Mazda CX9 Diesel and his daughter did much the same thing as you did. He did not even get off the forecourt because it was running so rough. It ended up costing him over $3,000 in repairs to the engine and fuel system.
You should get things thoroughly checked.
On a mis-fuelling preventer, you can get one called Diesel Key in Australia. They are around $120. I tried a couple, but settled on the Diesel Key.
All checked running fine
