I certainly hope that it was a busy servo, the name you're thinking of was probably Amoco, it was originally started in the US and was first known as Standard Oil of Indiana and later American Oil Company, or Amoco, but is now part of BP. Providing the fuel is replenished regularly you should be alright but I would avoid filling at places like that if you can because you don't know what you're putting in. Hopefully all will be OK.

I'm lucky. The orifice in the Caddy is -just- big enough to stick the tip of the high flow nozzle in and fill with no mess (Unless you pull out too early!), so i don't have an issue with either type.![]()
