cool, but why do u want to monitor your exhaust temp?
Just thought id show u all my new pyrometer i got from the US. I searched around looking for good egt sensors and im pretty happy with my choice seeing as it isnt as expensive as the others and looks pretty darn good. Bought it from the site www.auberins.com. Cost me all up $82USD which is good considering most round gauge sensors cost alot more than that are 99% in F° (from the US im talking about).
The thing is smaller than a credit card size so I reckon its small enough to fit in one of my blank button spaces. Will let u know how the install goes and how it works but it seems pretty straightforward, i bought the thermocouple and it comes with 4m of wire which is plenty. Interesting facts is that the sensor is accurate to 1000C° but the display will go up from -1999 to 9999. Also it can display in C or F and u can set a warning limit too and the alarm will go off.

Same reason as me, for as you turn up the boost, or do any other sort of power adding mod, you generally raise the EGT's. Too high, turbo go kapow.
You need a turbo to care my man!
I'll look forward to your results with interest, and has re-motivated me to get my sensor plumbed in. I'm actually wondering if I can splice into the stock one.....hmmm.
Nice gauge, I've got a dearer degree F one.....![]()

Too high exhaust temps = bent rods or headgaskets. I guess ur not aware of my new purchase
Edit: Got any pics/details of the one u got cogdoc?

Thanks for the link to the site you purchased from.
Im currently searching for a EGT Probe (K-Type thermocouple) for my custom Boost/EGT gauge.
The only trouble will be fitting the EGT probe.
Leigh I'm still investigating the stock EGT probe, it has four wires coming out of it that end up on the battery side of the firewall up high. Two of them have to be a temp signal, just depends if the range is compatable with my meter.
Don't get excited Peedy, it's just an asian swoosh one, but they do work nicely and were inexpensive enough ( back when our dollars bought a lot of US ones ). They make buzzing noises when they start and stop, and do a bit of a show, my girl gives me a fair bit of flack about it....
Have only the EGT hookup to go now....
And my new 4 probe digital temp meter! Will show me real time drops across T1 to 2 and T3 to 4! Two will be across the intercooler, was checking it out tonight.
Hazzar!

Don't know man, but in my typical professional style I'm gonna splice into it on the weekend, and see what happens.......
I'll check out what sort of probe my swoosh came with, and if stock works, well it's the same!!
