I have the spare Provent that I bought for our Golf and never got around to fit it. I'm planning to fit it in the Tig as well, but when I looked at the Tiguan's redesigned rocker cover I noticed quite large oil air separator that is the part of the rocker cover. I will check again at 5000km how much of oil is actually passing into air ducts.

Be nice to think VW have increased the stock oil separation, but even so I'd be fitting a Provent to any TDI, better safe than sorry!

It is on the "to do" list, but I always like to have 10,000km - 15,000km before I start to do any changes on the car. We have just lost the air con in the Tig yesterday, I wouldn't like to hear from VW that, I must've caused the hose to get closer to the fan, so I'm glad that I didn't rush it.
