Is it fully insured through a specialist?
Ok so I got sick of the constant rubbing of my tyres on the guards so I've decided to get the guards rolled and pulled out slightly and while its getting that done may as well get the bonnet notch properly metal filled, sanded and re-sprayed. Here are some work in progress photos.

And here are the end results. Have only driven it a little bit so far but happy to report there doesn't seem to be any guard rubbing yet. Bonnet looks much better now with the hole filled too.

Wow. That looks excellent!
That looks absolutely epic man, keep up the good work.
My. dear. god.
I love this thread and I love your car. I have a GT TSI in black so looks the same as yours more or less... hadn't really thought of changing it much from stock but seeing how much difference the drop in height and change in brake colours has made to yours it's definitely got me thinking!
Can I ask - does the standard audio unit in the Golfs have any red/white aux inputs or a mono aux input on the back? I really want to run my ipod into it but don't think that's an option without changing head units?
I have a GT TDI as well, and I must say this car is an inspiration! Benny for the work you need to do to actually retrofit an aux input you may as well upgrade your head unit to an RCD510
Quite a stealth mode TDI. I'm absolutely amazed @ your attention to detail in you modifications & updates. I've a 2007 Mk5 TDI DSG Comfortline with a number of mods that just keep going. 18" Khartoum rims powdercoated in gun metal grey with Michelin PS3's, RNS510 R series, LED interior lighting, flat bottomed paddle shift steering wheel & full LED tail lights with the "skyline" mod & twin reverse lights courtesy of "buckets - aka Craig". The twin reverse have LED Konik S25 1156 BA15S Canbus Cree and are like spotlights...who needs a reverse camera now? & I must commend you on change of licence plate & colour!
Geez things are a all a lot different these days compared to wogging up your car, say 30 years ago in the 1980s. But the name remains :-)
