    I use WURTH cooling system cleaner, it seems that it works the best.

    thanks for that mate, interesting to know! I still feel that here in australia we are yet to truely experience the back end of hte curve of the life of new generation TDI's..... the highest I've seen was that octavia taxi on ebay a while back with 400,000 odd km on it.

I don't know (they're very high mileage engines), but I always recall it when someone has the issue with the oil in coolant.

    ..and as always eliminating the oil cooler first is a good idea, especially if it's a common fault.
