Its got a bit more freedom above 4000rpm, but i think (THINK) its lost a tiny amount of torque down below. This fits into the theory about large diameter cat back exhausts losing pressure(to put it simply) and consequently losing a little torque in the very low revs .. Ive yet to determine that because the DPF would be the source of a massive restriction up front so i cant quite get my head around it.
If i were to do it again, I would go 2.5" all the way through. But if someone does a DPF bypass in AU, ill just get a 2.5" dump and connect it to the existing 3"

Drivability wise, it revs more freely especially above 3.5k rpm , economy wise ive seen no difference.. still getting 4.9L/100 Average with my mix of commute and short drives around, in the after hours.

If you want noise, just get rid of the pancake muffler at the back and put a straight pipe in. Im not too sure that this mod was worth the money, even though i got it for $250 all up.
If my tune can accomodate this and make a couple more numbers then its all good. I cant really gauge its effectiveness, but Im happy enough how it is. Ill let you know when I get to do another mountain run when I get my new springs

DPF delete is easy, but the only company I would currently trust is Custom Code. Nobody else has spent the time to sort it properly, and LOTS of reports worldwide of regents finding a way to turn back on, it's extremely complex coding. Just so you know it is very illegal and carries a max fine of $8k for an individual and $120k for a company doing so. I am meeting with several parties on this issue in coming weeks as I attempt to make my high flow sports DPF a legal reality, it's a way to go, but without approval it's not something I am going to release.

It will allow a full power delete style tune, but without all the obvious soot, and the massive illegality.

The government is indeed concerned about DPF deletion, just a matter of how they are going to police it, which is very much the plan.

How about just read some of the posts on VW forums? Seems there are quite a few idiots around happy to boast about how they have done the illegal delete.

Unfortunately, we can't protect everyone by deleting their comment. Stupidity can be costly if they get caught. Wish them luck.

Watched TV yesterday, they were showing a P plater driving while drunk and filming himself with the camera held between his legs. When he was questioned, he said "he had done nothing wrong."
