    My mk6 TDi plus ;)

    Hey guys,
I've been lurking for quite some time now and had always said I'd put up a car/build thread someday .. well here it is

    2009 Mk6 2.0 Tdi (103kW)

    Mods done:

    GTD wheels
R-line seats with inserts and door sills
    OEM R LED tail lights
    GTI skirts
    GTI rear bumper and valence
    LED everything & 8k HIDs
A6 LEDs mounted in the front fog grills
    Vortex spoiler
DIGoptions all in one media unit

    APR Carbonio
Rear muffler delete and twin 4" tips
    Whiteline RSB
    Neuspeed FSB
Defi Boost gauge and control unit
    GTI suspension

    Things left to do:
    install GTI front brakes
    get it tuned !

The first pics are most recent.
I was just having a bit of a play around with plastidip and haven't decided whether I like what I've done with the front bumper yet .. any feedback would be great (been removed since)

    Thanks guys

    The car looks good!!

And in regards to the plastidip on the front bumper I would take it off because it looks cheap IMO. But it is your car so if you like it then leave it!!

    Noooo you've ruined the front

Seats look good though. Any plans on fitting the GTI pedals and wheel?

Thanks for the compliment mate, yeah lol I'm going to take it off soon, it just doesn't work ! The bonnet/grill lines arent as nice as they are on the mkV for blackouts
    plastidip is pretty addictive though

With all those mods I'm actually wondering why you went the diesel option in the first place

Nothing wrong with a diesel. Once he gets a tune on it, it'll put some petrol cars to shame. My wife's tuned Jetta feels quicker then my worked twincharged Golf because of all the torque of the diesel.

    Car is looking great!

Looks good mate. Good to see more people modding their diesels

I don't like the plastidip because the vertical lines on the top grill and bottom grill on the mk6 are angled in such a way that they don't match up. If that makes sense...

To lazy to google it so... Is the boost gauge mechanical or electronic?

Hey AlexRO - like what you've done with the car, particularly the seats! they can only make a good, supportive difference.

Loved driving with you that one time on the reefton cruise - hopefull we'll get you along to another cruise soon

I want to check this little guy out in the flesh... i would love to see those seats (believe it or not, they reduce "times").

heh, some days I wonder the same thing
Once I can upgrade i think i'll go straight to the s3 platform and start with a big turbo kit. Now to find someone to pay for that

Thanks Brendan haha yeah I'm a little bit of a diesel fanboy to be honest.
The car does surprise! I can usually get a car length off v6 holdens at the traffic light GP
A tune would be awesome to be honest, the logical next step

Nice power output from the TSI !

Cheers dude ! Ive done all of the mods myself so i've grown pretty fond of this tdi

Yeah i know exactly what you mean lol, I spent 10min deciding which lines to follow when i did the spray. Ive already decided theyre coming off because it just doesnt sit right. The plastidip does get addictive though, especially when you can just peel it off

Its an electronic gauge.. I had to fit a boost tap into the hose right on the turbo though (some job) but it connects to a solenoid which takes it through the control unit and then to the gauge
