That looks really mint, what power figures are you looking for?
Hey guys,
Picked up a 2008 Gt Sport TDi yesterday. Originally I was looking for the GTi but thanks to ponyta he suggested i should check out the GT and boy am i glad i did.
I had a quick drive around yesterday and this car has some guts to it. The car has done only 77k and is in really good condition.
What mods do you guys reckon on one of these? I dont have a lot of money but plan on keeping this one for a long time.

haha im not really sure what options are avaliable for the GT. I know you can chip them to about 150kw but thats all i know of.
One think i would like to know does the RNS510 support bluetooth streaming ? I tried for about half an hour but could not find out how to set it up.
Does the phone button on the RNS bring up a screen or just mute the audio?
RNS510 only has BT if there's a BT module attached to it.
On my 125TDI, I've added an APR Carbonio CAI... Eventually gonna go the whole nine yards, though.(Remap, bigger turbo, FMIC, etc)
Its a really nice mod that adds some interesting (not bad, just interesting) induction noise!... It also now pulls 150cfm more air! (Thats half a 120x38mm Delta fan for all the PC modders out there!)
2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.
1990 Mk1 Cabrio. 1.9 IDI w/ 18PSI.
1985 Mazda T3500 adventuremobile. 1973 Superbug. 1972 Volvo 144 in poo-brown.
Not including hers...
Yea the phone button does mute the audio so I guess that's a why i cant find how to pair. But the weird thing is that i can disable Bluetooth audio in the setting and enable it. Because that what I mainly want to use it for to stream my audio.
I like the sound of that Mysticality![]()
I'm happy to help and glad to hear you're happy with it but its Poyta, not Ponyta. You can always check out my thread to see potential mods if you like -
Poyta's GT
If you want my opinion I would start with the height of the car as even though they are lower than a standard TDI they are still too high. Side skirts are also an easy and cheap addition. The Air-intake is indeed nice if you want the induction noise but they are expensive and not really a performance upgrade - if you want better performance try removing the 15kg Muffler from the back - you'll gain more from the better power to weight ratio and its basically free. I also found the Torque arm insert to be quite beneficial for performance and cheap though it does increase engine vibrations ( I'm used to it now ).
A re-flash can be pretty cheap these days but I'm not going to recommend it - although it does give you a bit more power I don't think its really worth it - I found that fuel consumption increased and no doubt it will increase soot generation which is bad for your DPF. You will get a flood of people who swear that its transformed their car into an animal and that fuel consumption is better but I don't believe it. If you want one I'd see if I can get one with a money back guarantee and try it out first.
With that sort of mileage I would also try cleaning your EGR as its not know if the previous owner cleaned it and you may find some gains from just doing this simple maintenance procedure and again this is cheap. Check out my thread on it
Cleaning the EGR and Inlet on a GT
Good luck with it and I look forward to seeing what you do with her.
