    mk1 diesel oil

Anyone recommend which oil is best for a mk1 GLD with about 200k on the clock?
    CK engine.

    Cheers in advance

If the engine is in good condition I would go with 5W40 or 10W40 oil, Total or Mobil1. Probably the easy get oil for your engine would be Penrite HPRDiesel 15W50 or HPR Diesel 5W40.

Thanks for the quick response! The engine might be fuming a little, should that affect my decision on which way to lean?

i run penrite 20w60 'cause the turbo tends to increase the blow by gasses. I also fitted a scavenger on the breather pipe.

Yeah the Penrite 15w/50 is a pretty good option, its quite well priced too. GLDoldcoot's engine has seen a lot of work
