The first picture shows a filler neck restricted by plastic and several plastic ribs that looks small enough to only permit a ULP type slim filler nozzle. Is that what people here have in some models here??? Apparently in the USA, it is for cars designed to run on ultra low sulphur diesel to maintain emissions compliance. 31mm OD nozzle fits fine in my Polo.

The second picture shows an adapter made from copper plumbing reducers and pipe soldered together small enough to tuck into the space inside a large fuel flap. That pic is in the thread mentioned. Someone built one including home-made O-ring from flexible tube to seal with the fuel nozzle to prevent splashback.
