If it's doing that, you'll definitely have the feeling that it's lost power.

I am going to place my bet now that its a leaking diaphragm in the turbo vane actuator.

its pretty easy to check - attach a bit of vacuum tube to the actuator (pull off the line that goes from the N75 to the actuator), suck on the tube you connect and see if the actuator moves, and if it holds the vacuum in there.

Even easier if you can tee in a boost/vacuum gauge, that way you can just see whats happening on the gauge.

If its in good shape, it shouldn't leak at ALL.

Isn't the actuator in a tight spot or can I access from underneath?

I'll thing up on ramps tomorrow & see if the actuator is holding vacuum.
That's all I can do otherwise I really don't know who to take it to??
Is there anyone in sydney that can help sort this out? Im getting mixed answers

Yes, there is Camden GTI, they will be able to properly diagnose it and repair it. I wouldn't go by the internet diagnose, often it's just a waste of time.

Infact it could be even as simple as the vacuum line to the actuator has been damaged. Or the N75 has failed....

It a big jump to say the turbo has failed.
