Every diesel owner should have a can on standby in the boot for that time the DPF plays up, especially at that price!

I have a small BP near by who sell the Penrite for $15.90. I put a bottle in every fill...Not sure why they sell it so cheap! Didn't feel the need to ask...![]()
Jesus, buy me a pallet? I bought three bottles of Wynns out of the UK last time for over $100.
I've had a chat to LiquiMoly and it seems their two part system targets the ASH, and it is designed to recondition a clogged DPF. I'm up for the challenge, and as my DPF has about 25% ash in it now at 50 thou, will get some of this stuff and measure the difference before and after. Will be a bloody good thing if it works as they claim, would become the annual $100 flush out, as any diesel will get better power and economy with a less restrictive exhaust.

Yeah that'a a little ambitious, though it will help your normal regens happen quicker, and likely make the time between them greater as passive will also be better.
My vote is the $100 Liquimoly flush every hundred thou - if it works!!

i know, it all started with the EGR problem.I drove around for a few months with the fault light on. i was told it would likely be clogging up the DPF so I started using.Tough habit to break you know.Anyway had that EGR sorted as I think we have discussed back in time.Love a good deal so I kept on putting it in...The liquidmoly sounds like the go.Most informed people I encounter rate their products highly.I am going to give the inlet manifold cleaner a shot soon, possibly today.
What do you all think about this product? I like the idea of a quick cheap clean but not sure about all that gunk going into the cylinders at once?May possibly have an adverse effect on rings , valves and DPF etc?

Do it, better to flush it through than have it build up on the valves, and yes, you will dump more oil into the DPF and that will leave ash, but it's going to end up in there eventually. My inlet valves at 50 thou, even with two in series Provent 200's had buildup, especially the passenger side cylinder, which had a nice 2-3mm lump of buildup. Remember this is the most restrictive part of your engine, and you want good port flows!

Do the latest tractors have any emission control equipment I wonder?.
A word of warning should you use the intake cleaner, do be careful as the tube attachment tends to leak where it fits into the press button at the top of the can.I discovered as I was spaying into the intake it dripped onto my grill...It eats plastic! Not so pretty...Seems to do a good cleaning job though.
