    Hey ol' mate!

Has it's own computer 3D map. Takes boost and EGT, and can run either or both at the same time. The most complex unit there is, and it cost accordingly!

EDIT: To fit the meth tank I'm gonna have to do the Polar battery mod. Good excuse really!

As far as I know water/meth is not illegal, as at 50% meth or less it's not considered a flammable liquid, but all the same I'm not about to tell the world about it.

really looks like the ducks nuts type of kit there mate - very swish indeed.

i'm thinking that a more simple boost controlled version might be the go on my mk3, since without a VNT i donyt have low rev boost spikes to deal with. preeny, we should stick our heads together maybe and make up some kind of mechanical metering device. for my car it could be actuated by a boost can, for yours you might use manifold vacuum instead!

anyway, enough hijacking. with your application, it will be very interesting to see just how much extra power you get

It comes down to finding a high PSI pump, the Snow one looks like a sureflow, and is rated at 217psi. Combine that with a high quality spray nozzle, such as the "spraying systems" types that Autospeed recommended for my intelligent intercooler spray, and you're set. It's all about atomisation. All the rest is pretty basic really, sure mine has a tricky controller, but at $900, it would want to!!!

Just remember Methanol is an accumulative poison, which like heavy metals, builds up in your system over time. Be careful kids!

Went and got a quote for custom alloy intercooler plumbing, and whilst I knew it wasn't going to be inexpensive, it was indeed scary! Still, I see it as a necessary step, the major pitfall was the plastic end tanks on the stock intercooler, and the subsequent need to use the stock swaged on stainless connectors, or to machine up something similar. I've also heard they leak, so a bit of research to do in this area.

On the postman present side, I had two more arrivals today. Half Polar weight and space saving, half crazy yank truck stuff. It's a 3" Aero XL muff, and it's a big unit. Totally straight through, resonator section at first, then the aero cone which you can part see, and then the backward facing flutes which are supposed to enduce the venturi effect. In the very least it isn't going to be a restriction, plus given the length of it takes care of about half of my exhaust! The XL resonated version is said to be close to stock noise yet zero restriction.

    From the inlet...

    From the outlet...

Methanol/Water injection on top of the DPF delete.

That is going to make for one hell of a quick tractor.

    Go! Cogdoc,
Your set up will work just fine, but I'm worried about that tiny battery starting reliably the diesel engine.

the fella's have a point - your 300CCA gel battery wont last nearly as long as the stock unit - BUT, it was probably cheaper

even old 1.5l mk1 diesels have 550CCA batteries, hehe.

BUT - really cant wait to hear how the meth injection setup goes! baited breath!

Halfway through putting the Deka in, fabbing up the holder, but MAN, does it open up some serious space. I'll be able to put my Provent, Deka and a decent water meth tank in the same space as the giant stock battery, and there's no way I'm going back to it!

Like you suggest, if it's a bit low in CCA in real life, I'll put another smaller Deka in the boot quite easily given the size of my OO guage amp wiring. Too easy!

This little battery starts the TDI in about a heartbeat. Right from the box too. I cranked it several times with the air con on, stereo system blaring, lights on, and it just kept on giving right out of the box. I have little concern at this stage, but will keep an eye on it. The sheer space it frees up is astounding, let alone the massive weight difference. I'm thinking the water meth tank , Provent and deka will all hide neatly in the VW battery cover too!

Still some tidying up to do, but look at all that space for more goodies!

Put the Whiteline Anti lift kit and bushes in the front end Monday evening, and what a biarch of a job that is. I'd suggest anyone considering that upgrade get it done by a professional, it was about the limits of my home workshop / patience / number of swearwords.

The front lower control arm bushes are quite tight,, and you really need a press to get the old stock ones out. I had to get creative with the vice. Car feels far more solid in the front end, and once I get the rear bushes in I'll get a wheel alignment and report back, as I'm fairly confident that's out a bit now!
