Fuel Doctor is heaps cheaper compared to Wurth CRD Additive.
I didn't try the Fuel Doctor yet. From what I see in the video they have on their website; it looks and most likely it is a good product. Backed by Castrol, it should be safe to use in CRD with the DPF, Greg is using it in his Golf GT and has no problems with the DPF, it could be worthwhile to try.
Sorry to be ignorant, but what does DPF & CRD mean?
Deek
The best way to void the need for the injector clean service is to use fuel system additive on regular basis, right from the start when the car is new. In case of TSI or any petrol engine I suggest Inter-Ject fuel system cleaner into every 3rd tankful. With the diesels, every time you buy fuel.
My brother is a member of a large Motor Home Club and they buy in bulk a product called MainLube, and they all use it in their Diesel motors homes and im using it in my Navara Diesel and my Golf V gt Diesel ,I was given a 1ltr bottle and ive nearly used half in 6 months and i do notice a more smoother idle in both vehicles. They also make other additives.

I've tried Lucas Fuel Additive; filled up 6 days ago.
Lucas Fuel Treatment : Lucas Oil
As per instructions, I put 330ml in the T5’s fuel tank and filled up. I have to admit that the blue smoke from the exhaust on first start up in the morning is completely gone.
The word of caution!
If your diesel has DPF box, I wouldn't use it, since I don't see any note on the product label that it is suitable for vehicles equipped with the DPF. But that's only me, you make your own decision.
Thanks to Transporter for the info.
I have found this link a bit more helpful as the Wurth site is hard to navigate; Wurth Australia Pty Ltd - The Assembly Professionals
Search under 0893 567

I have also just tried a bottle of the Liqui Moly SPEED TEC Diesel whilst I wait for the Wurth products.
I must say it is pretty good! Sells for $20 - $25 at various Supercheap / autObarn retailers.
LIQUI-MOLY Fuel and Oil Treatments & Additives
Out of interest, has anyone tried the Liqui Moly TOP TEC 4200 5W-30 engine oil?
It has the following approval VW 504.00/507.00.
I am interested in trying it...
