    If an R32 is a 3.2L V6...

    Surely you could shoehorn the 3.0L V6 TDI from the Audi Q7 into a MKV Golf...

    As much as this is tounge in cheek, could it be done?

    I dunno, i think that engine is N/S? and the R32 is east west and narrow angle...

    i dare say it would fit with a few mods, bigger engines have been dropped in before!!! Anythings possible as long as your pockets are as big as your aspirations

    In these sorts of projects it is often the little stuff that takes all the time and money (electronics, air intakes, radiator hoses, fuel lines, exhausts etc), as most people suss out the big stuff (engine physically fits, engine mounts, gearboxes and bell housings etc) before deciding whether to start or not.

    And of course after you've finished you need to find an engineer to approve it and an insurance company willing to give you cover.

    If your pockets are deep enough and/or you have the mechanical (and electronics) skills to do it, then 500+Nm of torque would shift an AWD Golf along pretty damn smartly, to say the least

    it would be nice to have 500Nm in a golf, but is it worth the hassle? 3.2l is a 15 degree V6 with one head and 2 cam shafts, so its just a bit bigger than a 2L engine.
    Audi's 3L V6 is a proper 60 or 90 degree V6 with 2 heads so it needs more space. I don't think you'd be able to get it under the bonnet

    I'm going to say nope. Like has been said before the R32 motor and the VR6 motor are a rather unique v6 in the fact they only have the one head. It's a very narrow V6 and they fill the engine bay pretty much. I'd imagine you would have to do some serious structual modifications to make it fit.

    Cylinders are offset in the Vr's to squeeze them in the Golf engine bay, almost a cross between an in-line 6 and a "V6" so I dont think much luck with Q7's V6.

    Supercharge what you already have.

    Be WAY cheaper and easier despite still being a hassle.

    It's my current "moonshot" dream, a TSI TDI.

    Might have to drop Sprintex a line

    haha funny you mention that

    VR6 = Vee-Reihe-Sechs.

    translates to v-straight-6. so yeah, it is actually a cross between an inline 6 and a v6.

    I remember reading that Dr. Martin Peppercorn or Prof. Klaus Diesel saying they weren't going to do a TSI TDI.
