So I have oil seeping between the intercooler and hose on the lowerside near the stone tray.
I wonder what the dealer will do for me if the car is passing that much oil?

play nice please kids - no need to insult eachother, however indirectly you disguise it.... the rest of us are neither amused nor benfitted.
i'm interested to hear numbers like 16:1 for compression - is that really true? anyone confirm? if so, man, i'd be pulling down a TDI, balancing everything, ceramic coating everyhitng and whacking a BIG turbo on there quick smart - not too hard to get 200hp out of an old clanker like mine with enough fuel and decent manifolds at 22.5:1 compression, but holy heck you could squeese a LOT of air in there if its only 16:1! 400hp anyone? i can only dream of budgets and time like that.

hey guys,
just thought I'd finally make 'post count' 1 after lurking here and tdiforums for a while now.
here is my lovely new tractor:
Manual GT Sport.
already put 1200 on her in only 10 days.
waiting to receive my new Provent 200 to deal with the CCV issues.
I haven't had any hesitations per-say, I have had it bog down on me when taking off from a stop(anything under 1500), now when taking off its a quick blip to about 2,000 lightly slip the clutch and I'm off all in under a second.
most corners around town here in Canberra are third gear jobs, I utilise the suspension to get me through a corner without having to skip shift to second, although some corners require second gear. Never really had any issues, although some more mid range power delivery would be nice
I'm looking at doing a run to TAS mid December (down to Batemans bay, down the coast to Melbourne, over on the spirit, put the car to good use on the Tasmanian hills, back on the ferry, then from Melbourne to Albury and back to Canberra) so if anyone is on the way i'd consider stopping by depending on the time frame.
regards,
Brenton.
