    Cracked where it fits to the air inlet. There seems to be some oily stuff coming out of it. Car operates normally.

    Edit: Sorry bout typo: "What does it do?" was the question.

    It supplies boots pressure to the injector pump which adjusts the fuelling as boost increases.

    If its broken, you will have a small boost leak and no increase in fuelling when you get on boost (less power).

    The AAZ pump has a 'boost pin' which is very mild so you probably wouldn't notice a huge difference.

    A great modification is to take out the AAZ pin and put a 1.6TD pin in there instead. An easy 10hp.
