I fitted one thousands of k's ago; it was awful and unbearable for about 1,000km and then suddenly it was amazing. Nearly no vibration and still all of the grip - turns out one of the "lugs" broke off the flat section!

Not that I'm saying you should mutilate yours; but it fixed all my issues!
I took it out a few thousand k's later and didn't run one for awhile - now I'm running a Superpro one (I think a 70d?) and I've raised the idle with VCDS to 850rpm. This time it remains intact, yet doesn't feel like a V8 Supercar!
