    DPF regeneration

    DPF load is 100.6%.
Should I enable regeneration by entering code 21295?
The car may burn down when regenerating with dpf load over 90%.

    Thanks guys.

Car should have stopped driving completely at 90%. Has it been in limp for a while now??

Never, ever heard of this, and yep, highly likely you will catch fire if that is somehow correct.

Today I took the car down M5 motoway and carried out a force regeneration. It was successfully cleared the DPF. Started with load 100.6% after 15 mins it was down to 3%. No more limp mode. The warning lights stayed on until I cleared the faults.

    Happy days.
Thanks for the help and advice.

At that % it should not have even allowed you to do a DPF burn....Usually if the % is too high then its says it cant be done. The only way I know is to tell the car that a new DPF has been fitted, that Allows the ECU to see zero grams etc and allows the burn at your own risk if fire in the hole!

My question is what are you reading it with, sounds like it was only actually at 60ish percent, for that is where you can force a regen and lights go out. At 80 the car cuts boost and you are in low boost limp, at 90% the car won't let you start it as far as I know, never gotten that far.

Just FYI for anyone reading this in future, anything beyond 90% is an absolute fire hazard.

You must have a dodgy sensor then. I was going into limp mode when DPF was 55%. Annoying as hell. As soon as you saw the light, you had about 20km to run a regen or limp mode it was. Then 2 weeks later, same thing again. Replaced both DPF sensors 3 years ago, and only had light come on twice, and never a limp mode again.

I would suggest that you get the sensors checked if you get high % readings like that. And maybe some Penrite DPF cleaner.

The cars done 206k so probably getting up there, I use the Cleen diesel products on the car which seem pretty good but thanks for recco.

Any chance an additive may actually be causing it?.
Was it dealer or ,say, Penrite approved?.
