Some stations in Blacktown seem to be the exception though...
Cheapest Diesel I've ever seen is on Woodville road just after the Mecano set, on your left as you're heading towards Parramatta. Last time I went there it was 112.9, one of my friends drove past the same servo and saw it at 109.9. And its real Diesel, not BioDiesel!

$1.19 for me. BP only. I will cream my pants if/when it gets to below $1.10. And to think that it was not unusual AT ALL to be paying $1.82-$1.84 during last winter's snow season.....

I thought bio-diesel was not approved for use in TDIs? I read somewhere also, that BP Ultimate diesel as bio as well.

    Anyone confirm?

The owner's manual and fuel filler cap sticker on my partner's MY09 TDI Eos are emphatic..... fuel containing more than 5% bio-diesel must not be used under any circumstances as this will void the warranty.

It is my understanding problems with compatibility of bio-diesel with the new common rail fuel injection system and DPF Filter efficiency are the reason for this stipulation. The new system reportedly uses sequential injection of fuel during the compression stroke to maximise performance and fuel efficiency and there are variations between the relative compressibilities of mineral and bio-diesel which negate the current technology.

Others more learned and experienced than I may be able to enlighten us further as to whether this is correct or a myth to support the oil companies.

Bio is a problem for DPF regeneration, so if you don't have a GT, and are prepared to run the VW warranty gauntlet, go for it!

Long term, I'll be running Bio.

$1.02 a litre at Caltex, Blunder rd Oxley. A bit better than $1.82 at the same servo around August-September last year.

This doesn't really answer my question, so I'll start a new thread on the topic.

Does the BP Diesel comply with the diesel standard in your owner's manual?
If yes you can use it.
No need to confirm if it has biodiesel in it or not.
