Odd - I never had any issues with accelerator response with stock tune. It just feels very flat and tails off very early vs remapped.

As you know, the economy improvement only occurs if you drive with restraint (I actually push for mileage as a personal challenge) so I wouldn't be surprised if your consumption increased.

maybe your different driving styles can be attributed to the difference in what you guys notice.

thats what I was thinking, but i too drive gently for economy most of the time in the octy and theres no way i'd call it smooth. anyway, kind of OT>

how long did the tune take and did you just get "phase 1" GolfMan?

Well I both drive like a granny (to get max mileage) and cane the crap out of it (track days, cruises) so I have a fair idea of the engine response of my Polo and the 3 maps I've tried (haven't loaded the 4th yet, that goes on this w/e for the track day)

I believe CCode have mild and wild levels on some tunes, that is, smooth or "surge".

I'll be going crazy "surge" please.

Great to see Custom Code getting out there, as it should!

Yep that was a Phase 1, the motor needs to have intake and exhaust mods before we consider it needs to be a Phase 2.

We had the tuned file already, so it only takes 15 minutes plus a road test.

You qualify Greg, mainly due to what you have taken off your motor!

Not done the software for EGR delete yet, no one but Greg has been game enough to get the spanners out. When he works out the DPF that's staying on the car, it'll be sometime soon after.
