    Correct fan belt

    Hello,

I have just installed a new fan belt on my Mk1 diesel and its just a bit too long. Does anyone know what the correct length should be?

    Cheers,

    Matt

oh one other thing - ensure you have the correct width belt. you might need a thicker one to effectively shorten it a bit.

ancilliary, yes. The alternator is at the limit of its travel. A larger V of the same length would do the trick, thanks Ayden!
