Does the car have a cable change gearbox. If it does then that clutch should do you. If it has a rod change box which I reckon it should then back to the drawing board.
    Looking at ETKA now BRB

    Rod box, 210mm

Should be the same fit as a 2 litre, ETKA doesn't give me the details of the plate though. The box should have the larger input shaft of the 2 litre box.

you'd think the tdi mk3 would use an 02a style gearbox with cable change.

the clutch diameter is the same which would lead me to believe that if they had the same input spline, then it'd fit.

why not go for the HD GAP clutch kit for the vr6?

It would have been a bind pulling the box off, to find you had the wrong one for sure.
