    Funny that, mine too.
But im sure my turbo vanes and injectors would be nice and clean.

    Doesn't suprise me, especially chipped!

Problem is my front tyres were WELL on the way out at 15k's when I rotated them, and I'm not taking traction off much at all!

    Damn torque!

Went to Shell last tank thought it was ok, went back to BP last night and this morning the other half asked me what I had done last night to the engine??

That is conclusive in my book!

Is that comparing Shell with BP or BP Ultimate? Adding Morey's as a cetane improver seemed to reduce smoke and engine harshness.

If you are filling up in Sydney (or anywhere in Oz except for Perth and Brisbane) then you can only buy "regular" BP diesel. I expect that when they roll it out elsewhere they will relabel the bowsers as BP Ultimate diesel or similar (just like they do with 98 octane petrol).

Oh, and it appears that "BP Premium diesel fuel" is available in Michigan (in the USA)

I've only ever used BP diesel. I tried Shell/Coles for one tankful after the dealers BP tankful, ran rough and noisey as, never again.

a note on BP Ultimate Diesel, must admit havn't tried it yet, but it's only at 36 stations at the moment in brisvegas, and not the ones I use and a few stations are charging a hell of a premium for it - what a turn off.

I've had my dub for about 4 weeks now (2nd hand but well run in) and have used BP premium diesel once and Shell about 3 times. Surprisingly I've had much better economy from the Shell than from the BP. Maybe the difference is felt more when it's more stop, start city driving rather than majority highway, which is what I always do.
I've been paying about 1.44 for the Shell and 1.48 for the BP premium.

Linds, not sure what side of Bris you're on, but the BP at ashgrove/gap always has diesel ultimate a few cents cheaper than anywhere else I can find. Was about 141 all this week, as opposed to 143-145 everwhere else. I always take the drive just for the saving per tankfull. You can always continue on and go home via Mt Nebo!
