From previous experience, we've kept replacem parts in stock for campaigns, but not always.

Depends on whether the dealership wants a few thousand dollars in parts sitting there, waiting for a new home.

Could this because its a recall and Vw is actually paying the bill ,our cars are put at the end of the Que , Paying customers are money in the bank and pay the same day, as Vw might not pay for 30 days ?

Volkswagen don't pay up until the claim is approved, which is long after you've got your car back. Could be a month, could be more. Depends how on the ball the warranty clerk at the dealership is.

Car went in yesterday at Solitaire Adelaide. Injectors replaced and campaign done. All done within half a day. No problems.

So they had pre ordered the injectors for your car, or did they have them instock?
For the amount of cars that have to have them replaced you would think most dealers would have stocked up ready for the rush ?

They did not pre-order them - they advised they try to keep a few in stock at all times. Guess they had some.

Mine is not exactly stock too Greg and they didn't even bat an eyelid. I don't think they would give up the chance to do it - after all its not like the dealer is losing money doing it are they? VW is paying for it so why wouldn't they want to keep the dealers mechanics employed?
